Live Terrarium Plant and Moss
Included is a randomly selected variety of ivy (Needlepoint, Glacier or Golden Jytte) and different varieties of moss. You can also upgrade your plant and replace the ivy with a china doll tree or dwarf umbrella tree!
 
Optional Cutting Vial Add-on: Our new cutting vial includes an assortment of live plant cuttings to add more visual appeal to your terrarium! Just place these cuttings on the soil surface with the included tweezers and they are good to go. Cuttings included are oak leaf creeping fig (Ficus pumila 'Quercifolia'), rainbow moss (Selaginella uncinata), pilea (baby tears) and Rhaphidophora hayi variegated.

OPEN OR CLOSED // WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
Open terrariums do not have a lid and will need watering approximately once a week, depending on the environment where it is kept. Plants in these will grow larger, taller and wider than those planted in a closed terrarium.
 
Closed terrariums have a lid and only need watering approximately once or twice a year after the initial watering. In some cases, these terrariums can be kept closed for years without having to provide any water at all. If desired, the plants inside closed terrariums can be trimmed and the sides of the jar can be wiped of collected debris.
 
No matter what type of vessel, your plants will be happy in these terrariums for years without needing much care or re-potting.
 
WHAT ARE UPGRADES?
Our Block Complete DIY Terrarium Kits are shipped with live moss and a randomly selected ivy variety. You have the option to upgrade the ivy plant to either a china doll tree or dwarf umbrella tree.  If you choose to upgrade, this will replace the ivy plant normally sent with our kits.
