CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Remember that each plant is unique, so closely monitor your plant and adjust its care based on its response. By providing the right conditions, you'll be rewarded with a stunning and healthy plant that adds a touch of tropical elegance to your indoor space.

Light

While Spathiphyllum can tolerate lower light conditions, this “mutant variety” thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Humidity

Spathiphyllum appreciate higher humidity levels, but they can adapt to average indoor humidity. You can increase humidity by misting the leaves or placing the plant on a tray of water-filled pebbles.

Temperature

Spathiphyllum prefers temperatures between 65-80°F (18-27°C). Avoid exposing it to cold drafts or sudden temperature fluctuations.

Fertilization

During the growing season (spring and summer), feed the plant with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks.

Pruning

Trim brown or yellowing leaves close to the base to maintain the plant's appearance. Remove spent blooms to encourage new growth.

Dusting

Dust can accumulate on the leaves, hindering their ability to absorb light. Wipe the leaves gently with a damp cloth or give the plant a shower occasionally to keep it clean.

Pests and Diseases

Keep an eye out for common houseplant pests like spider mites, thrips, aphids, and mealybugs. If you spot any pests, take action promptly with appropriate treatments.

Rotation

To ensure even growth and avoid the plant leaning towards the light source, rotate it every couple of weeks.
